John Carey - Celebrant

You don't need to like the same music to make music!

Updated: Sep 27, 2021

Saturday just gone, polar opposites who have settled on "flying by the seat of your pants" to make your relationship work, married!

I love listening to couples stories and creating a safe space when we first meet to ensure they can be themselves! I respect that there are times when some couples need extra support, firstly to be able to stand in front of their guests for a short while and then "say words!" Of course, they are often males who experience stage fright!

Please be assured I won't ask you to pose for a photo to post on social media of our meetings!

I loved Adam and Jenna's story and their willingness to share much of it with me made my role in helping them marry a joy.

Their special day celebrated so much about their story - their love of Adam's heritage growing up in rural Queensland, their relationship journey, the place their dogs have in their lives and the joy and the learnings from bringing a little replica of themselves into the world.

At the end of the day, after all of the event organisation is done, as the celebrant, I am entrusted with one of life's greatest responsibilities and that is helping two hearts join together in marriage! Taking advantage of "no obligation" meetings with celebrants before deciding on "which one" is an important investment of your time.

Congratulations Jenna and Adam, as Drake White says "your best is yet to come".

When you drive out the gates of "Marston" this weekend, I trust the stories you shared and the memories you have created remain your forever compass to forever fly by the seat of your pants.
