John Carey - Celebrant

2019 ..... in the mirror!

Updated: Jan 5, 2020

2019 is nearing an end!

A huge thank you to all the couples and families who asked me to help provide marriage, naming ceremony, renewal of vows and funeral celebrant services in 2019! It has been one of the most memorable years - bushfires, dust, hail and most importantly special people who gather their nearest and dearest to establish a special milestone in their lives.

I aim to be the celebrant "that doesn't clash!" Do you think my pink shirt matched Tegan's bouquet!

#Funfact1 - Did you know a marriage celebrant is required to constantly "do better?"

When it comes to the all the wedding service providers you may hire for your day, #Funfact2 is that marriage celebrants are probably the only provider that must ask for your feedback!

#Funfact3 is that to keep being better for you, we must also complete 5 hours of professional development every year, or we don't get to keep our licence! That's how important the Attorney General's Dept who oversee marriage licencing considers the role of feedback and professional development in ensuring you receive professional, and hassle free services from your celebrant!

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time "post-wedding exhaustion" to provide feedback to me!

Check out some of the couple's feedback in the Testimonials tab (here) on my website, or visit John Carey - Marriage Celebrant Facebook Page to read many many more! https://www.facebook.com/pg/johncareymarriagecelebrant/reviews/?ref=page_internal

I love how Robert and Kacey explained their feedback!

"John was absolutely fantastic to deal with from the first communication to the wedding day and even after with a couple of behind the scenes photos. Didn’t get frustrated with me when I flipped the ceremony on its head only a couple of days before.

His unique and humorous introduction really summed up what we asked from him in our prior meeting. Kacey and I would really recommend his services. Thank you again John."

Robert's second love, spectacular Harley Davisons lifted the spirits and the drought impacted landscape that surrounded their wedding venue

The celebration of new life, a next step in a relationship or the closing chapter of one's life were all incredible moments I had the honour of being part of in 2019. I value each opportunity I've had to work with you to create lasting memories.

As I look out to 2020, I want to thank those couples who have already booked!

If you have managed to sneak in a Christmas proposal or have a Paris trip planned to ask your favourite human to spend the rest of their life with you.... "I recommend sending me an email and together we can work out available 2020 or 2021 dates!"

The saddest part of being a celebrant, especially when you have been referred to me, is to tell you that the date you have chosen is already booked!

Check out in the slideshow below some of the couples and wonderful wedding service providers I have worked alongside in 2019!

Remember this one piece of advice - "choose wisely, ask to see feedback and seek out wedding service providers committed to improving what they offer, year on year".... and when it's all over, always give feedback - it makes for a better experience for everyone.

That's how I knew to buy pink shirts for 2019 weddings!

Thank you again for choosing #johncareymarriagecelebrant!

May 2020 go well for you!
